Frequently asked questions
Does the person scanning see my phone number?
Not unless you choose to show it. By default your phone number and email are never rendered on the page: the scanner only sees a message form, and the message is relayed to you privately. The one exception is the optional WhatsApp button, which is off until you enter a number and tick the box yourself.
Can people message me on WhatsApp instead?
Yes, if you turn it on. Add your WhatsApp number in the page settings and tick the box, and a WhatsApp button appears next to the private form. It is off until you do both, and you can switch it off again at any time. Be aware that opening a WhatsApp chat does show the person your number, which is the trade you are making.
Does the other driver need an app to contact me?
No. Scanning opens a plain web form in any phone browser, with no downloads or sign-ups required.
