Good to know
- Every preset keeps dark modules on a light background. That is not a style choice — a good number of decoders assume dark-on-light and fail on the inverse whatever its contrast.
- The timing and alignment patterns are drawn as plain squares in every design, even the heavily rounded ones. A decoder measures those by run length, and rounding them is what made four shapes unscannable before the product’s test suite caught it.
- Framed designs make the finished artwork taller than the code. Size the code first, then add the frame, or the code ends up smaller than you planned.
- The gradient presets keep both stops dark. A gradient that fades toward the background looks striking and loses the scan at its pale end.

Frequently asked questions
Do styled QR codes scan as reliably as plain ones?
Only when the styling leaves the function patterns alone. Rounding the timing line or reshaping the finder pupils breaks codes that look flawless, which is why every design here keeps those square and every one is tested by decoding, not by eye.
Can I add my logo to one of these designs?
Yes, in the main generator, which has the same styling controls plus a logo upload. The logo automatically raises the error-correction level so the cleared centre does not cost you any data.
Are these designs free to use commercially?
Yes. Download and use them on anything you like, including products you sell. There is no watermark, no attribution requirement and no account needed.
Do styled QR codes scan as reliably as plain ones?
The ones here do, because the styling never touches the parts a scanner locates first: the three corner finders and the timing patterns stay square regardless of the module shape. Styling that rounds those is where other generators lose scans.
Which QR style is safest for print?
Solid square modules in a single dark colour. Every step away from that — rounded modules, a gradient, a light foreground — costs a little tolerance, which is fine on a screen and matters on cheap paper at a distance.
Can I use these styles on my own codes?
Yes. Every preset here is available in the free generator on this site and in the Qrindo product, from the same renderer — so what you see on this page is what you get, not a marketing mock-up.
